Example of a SECO programme
This is one of the components of the SECO programme dedicated to the sustainable management and protection of biodiversity in the Rila National Park.
Benefiting from CHF 15 million from the second contribution, this programme constitutes a pilot project for Bulgaria, who plans to replicate this model of sustainable management in its other national parks.

This is notably the case for the Swiss National Park, the oldest national park in the Alps and Central Europe, which has its own scientific research centre and a modern visitor information centre.
